Cannot sync to Vista - tried everything

I've checked the other threads here, and have also visited http://blogs.msdn.com/jasonlan/archi...ce-center.aspx to try to figure out why I can't sync to Vista.

Info:
-Axim X51
-Vista Ultimate
-Microsoft Office 2003
-Windows Mobile 5.0 (build 14957.2.3.1)
-I downloaded and installed Windows Mobile Device Center (01/31 release version, NOT Version 3 Beta....link for that seems to be removed from Microsoft's website?)
-Disabled the Firewall
-Made sure Windows Updates are curent
-Unchecked the "Enable Advanced Networking Functionality" box in /Connections/USB to PC/
-Tried manually updating in Control Panel/Device Manager, no luck

It says that "Device driver software was not successfully installed". Mobile Device Center opens but gets stuck in a "connecting loop" and then shows "Error" after awhile.

I simply cannot find any answers ANYWHERE. I've spent HOURS trying to get my Axim to sync and I'm seriously considering returning it if it won't work with Vista.

Can anyone help me???

I would do the following:

1. uninstall moble device center
2. On axim go to settings-connections-USB to PC-uncheck 'Enable advanced network functionality'
3. connect axim to pc via craddle
4. on PC run windows update

Vista should tell you there is an update for mobile device center - download and install.

Hopefully this will get you up and running. If not let us know.

Took 5 minutes......and I wasted HOURS before. Oh well, at least it's working LOL. Thanks soooo much, I really appreciate the help.
