The coreplayer inst crappy at all, the updated version ease me to creates and saves users eq & color into predefined presets. The TCPMP sound quality is very different & not comparable (after tested)
My biggest gripe is it's now P2P. Unless there's some mission-critical reason I cant use TCPMP anymore, I'm sticking with it (and backing up the install files on several PCs and even my online storage areas!)

well, I personally consider it a donation to the team for their effort.. and unless you've donated on the past...
Besides, the newer h.264 decoder of just lovely... and at least 10% faster than the unauthorised AVC plugin from a few years back.
To be perfectly honest guys, when I tried to download the 40iplay application, I ended up with the same message as the rest of the world, it would seem the author does NOT want anyone to have his application...... very strange character.
I did a search in google for 40iPlay download thinking I could get the demo through another site, I did find a download that looked like a genuine site, when I installed it, it turned out to be the fully application.
Now I am against "Warez" and such, but I feel that the author has forced this upon me and others as the ONLY means of getting the application to "Try Out" prior to purchase.
If it does its job and does it well and I like it, then I will gladly pay, BUT, I think the author really really needs to change his attitude towards his "Potential Customers".

I did what? You chose to use warez, that's your business. The version is quite old, belonged to a former customer, sent to a bud of his in Russia (by way Belgium), and is currently used by several users on this site, even a news editor (who even wanted support using a fake name). Anyway, it's sort of funny, because it's been hacked up by a Russian, which is just like sending your bank account details by way of Russia. You are now. As I always say, never, ever, use a warez file you downloaded off the internet.
40th Floor. It was NOT intentionally sought as a WAREZ thing, I simply wanted a demo version of your product to try out, I want a good sounding MP3 player for WM5, simple as that.
I installed the application in the belief that it was a demo version. I was only some hours later that I managed to sus that it was Warez, and in fact was removed from my PDA last night as I am NOT into the Warez thing.
Has nothing to do with saving costs or anything, and certainly no intention of defrauding you of an income.
BUT, having said all that, IF 40th Floor acted the same as all other programmers, vendors, distributors and allowed people to download a demo, instead of continually blocking thier IP addresses as if they had done something wrong, then this situation would'nt of happend.
Many many users on the AXIMSITE will confirm that they have TRIED to download a demo only to be blocked, and that you choose to ignore any emails.
Do you want to distribute your software and earn an income from it or not ???
Why do you block half the worlds IP Addresses (or seems like it) ??
Why do you choose to ignore emails ??
Comon fella, i wanted to buy from you, but I am not going to buy something I have'nt heard or tested .... So for EVERYONE else who is TRYING to get your demo, why not post a VALID link here.
Sorry if this sounds harsh, its not meant to be, and I apologise for the Warez thing, but it was NOT itentional.
People with their hands in cookie jar will say anything. You're what, close to 50 now? How would you like it if I came over to your house and started stealing stuff? How about I just go through everything and copy it? I could say you "forced me", but that only makes sense to the guy with his hands in the cookie jar. Have fun, old timer!
It's tmp because it is very much so, and justforyou because it is very much so only for you (no one else should go there). P.S. (Funny guy, don't get an attitude! If I owed you anything you're already have it.) Remember, this is just for you, CookieMonster.
Don't bother talking to him. If you spend some time reading some other posts on on other Website you will notice the ignorance he pays to 90% percent of the words in any post directed to him. I am starting to wonder if he is some kind of web-o-robot designed to automatically answer posts about iPlay.
By the way I don't get the point aboint about sending bank accounts to Russia. This version is registered to somebody and that's it. It works as full version. I dropped it today in favour of PocketPlayer. And not because it's warez, but because there isn't the playlist functionality I seek. Probably it is in some more recent version, but after all Hey, I am banned from your site. How can I check if there is new version, what is new and how to buy it. But the other hand isn't almost the entire mankind banned from 40thfloor? OK. Keep your software for your closed community of dedicated anti-warezers. It's funny. Like some kind of sec.

This is a bizarre piece of software. I recently learned of iPlay. Having used MortPlayer and TCPMP I thought I'd give it a try. Then I discovered that I'm not welcome at their site! What an odd business decision! I can see the meeting now.....
Dev1: "OK guys, I've got a great version ready for the world to see."
Dev2: "Hold it right there pal. When you say whole world surely you mean "us and four American friends"?"
Dev1: "Sorry. I wasn't thinking. Of course, nobody should be able to download this application we've spent all this time developing."
Dev2: "That's right - otherwise we might actually make some money from FOREIGN people".
Together: "YEUCH!"
40th is possibly the most bizarre company I've ever seen.
"Hey, let's charge through the nose for what we'll call the most perfect player ever! Now, this one'll really make you laugh, let's stop half the world buying it and verbally abuse any other customers who ask a question about it! Oh man we'll sell tons of copies with our l33t attitude!"
He posted in a thread I created to advertise Zircon (tm)(c)(r)(a)(p) and I've since then managed to try out the demo. God did it suck. It is aimed *purely* at smartphones and has no way to control it without using the D-Pad and soft buttons, which makes it nearly unusable on a touchscreen device. I was left wondering why he chose to advertise in an unrelated thread on a forum for a device that his product is not designed for....
And yes $30 is "through the nose" for a product that has competitors that are cheaper and prettier. iPlay has benefits but they're not worth that much.

Actually, I quite like the product (having downloaded a Russian cracked version).
Usually I avoid cracked software. My argument is that either there's a decent freeware alternative available or if there isn't then it's obviously taken more work than someone should be expected to do for free. In this case however the software author is an arrogant idiot who has decided he doesn't need or want my money. If I can't give him money for the product and I can find it online then I'm going to use it. If he were to actually allow me to buy the thing I'd pay for it!
The argument above ("How would you like it if I came over to your house and started stealing stuff?") is laughable. This is something that SplashData could argue to those who might download cracked versions of SplashWallet and they'd be justified.
The difference is that SplashData's software is offered for sale to those people. 40thFloor outright refuse to sell the product online to 95% of the world's population! Those users are shunned by the company who then get annoyed that they would like to try the application!
If you only want to sell to less than 5% of the world's population then you shouldn't be advertising on public lists like this that are freely available to the billions of people with whom you refuse to do business.
