Yes, I had Pocket PC Techs do the upgrade to 128MB of memory on my x51v. They did a great job and it was done very quickly. Thanks Pocket PC Techs.
My x51v now reads:
Program Total: 113.39 MB
I want to say it runs faster but maybe it does not run slower when I have several applications open at once. Anyway, I'm glad I did it. The x51v is now almost the perfect pocket pc for my use and applications.
Also, there is a Pocket PC Techs discount for Axim members. Check in the members discount area for the code.
Yes, I am also interested in the upgrade. My free program memory is around 22MB after a soft reset and down to 15-16 after running it for a while. My device can feel awful sluggish when launching programs after a while. How much program memory do you have free after this upgrade and what does your battery life look like now as compared to before? I imagine that this upgrade voids the warranty and even if it didn't, if you had to send the device back, you would just get a 64MB refurb and be out the $170. I guess this is something to wait on until after the warranty is expired.

Again, you can get 10% discount using the link I listed in the above message. Thats $169-$16.9=about $153. Still not cheap but to me it was worth it. The battery life is still very good. I did not notice much difference in battery life, though I am sure it is some what less. I still get about 5 hours reading a book with medium backlight on using a 1100ma battery. I will do some time measurements the next 2 weeks and report back.
Sorry, I did not notice the question about how much free memory I have. Here is my results after a fresh soft reset:
Total Program Memory: 113.39 MB
In Use: 21.96 MB
Free Memory: 91.42 MB
