Losing wireless connection

Hi

can anybody point me in the right direction.

When I connect my X51 to my laptop by USB it always breaks my wireless internet connection.

How can I prevent this?

So when your X51 gets hooked up, you mean your laptop loses its internet connectivity?

My guess is that the Axim might be thinking its the master browser, and that your System log shows a Browser listing with something like
The browser has forced an election on network \Device\NetBT_Tcpip_{1xyz-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx} because a master browser was stopped.

Try this...right click My Network places (assuming XP), click Properties, click Advanced-->Advanced Settings... from the menu bar, and under the Adapters and Bindings tab, move the network connection for the Axim to the bottom of the listings.

Another thing to try is on the Axim, go to Start --> Settings ---> Connections ---> USB to PC and uncheck the "Enable advanced network functionality". It might be also causing networking issues and confuse the laptop.

This was a common issue with ActiveSync 4.0. I believe it was corrected in 4.1 or 4.2 but there is also a program 'airfix' that corrected it.
