MS Money 2007 sync with Axim
Hi, I understand that MS Money 07 does not support sync with PDAs. Has anyone identified a workaround, other program, freeware that puts your MS Money 07 data on your Axim?? Thanks!!

SPB Finance will... and will sync with Quicken 2007 also. I'm currently using it with Quicken although I've tested it with MS Money 2007 as well. (FYI. Money 2007 has a 90-Day full feature demo that you can download for free and Quicken has a 30 return policy but you have to buy the software first.)
SPB Finance is designed to be a stand alone app for your PPC but works great with either of the finance programs above. If you configure it to use with either Quicken or Money, SPB Finance becomes more of an extension of these programs rather than a stand alone program.
A couple things to note:
-With MS MONEY:
-"Budgets, Memorized Transactions, Scheduled Transactions and other specialized objects like Investment Accounts are not Synchronized between Money and SPB Finance." (These however do sync with QUICKEN)
-With Quicken
-"Transactions, memorized transactions, accounts, classes, categories, and budgets that have already been synchronized with Quicken cannot be deleted or edited [through SPB Finance]". (Meaning once you enter stuff through SPB Finance, and sync it with your Quicken, that information appears in Quicken and it "greys" out the information on SPB Finance. You can/ have to then edit, delete and make changes to the those items through Quicken and will appear as adjusted on SPB Finance one you sync it up again.)
-"Budgets created in Quicken are transferred and synchronized SPB Finance, while those created in SPB Finance first are not"
If you're considering SPB Finance I would go to SPB's website and download the User's Manual PDF and look at the section in the back covering what's different between the Money option and the Quicken option.
In my opinion it's the best one out there from what I've tried although also the most expensive. If you don't already have Quicken or Money and looking to save some money, SPB Finance is cheaper than either one and, like I said, works great as a stand alone.

I agree with JohnP266. Spb Finance is the best software for getting your finances onto the Axim. One thing, it will sync with Money 2007 (that's what I use), it works with Quicken 2006, but currently won't work with Quicken 2007 (still working on that, but no date that I've seen). I moved from Quicken 2007 to Money just because of Spb Finance. I really missed it when I upgraded my Quicken! Great program!

Oops, my bad. Forgot to add that. DROWE is right. SPB Finance is a little buggy with Quicken 2007 but it will sync with it. I just switched over from Money 2004 to Quicken 2207 for the first time (new to Quicken but wanted to try it out after using Money for so long and SPB Finance looked like it had more features and flexibility with Quicken). SPB does have a forum for all their programs (great support feature) and you can find out more information there. Thanks for the reminder DROWE
Also another thing I forgot to add is that with the Stand Alone version, you can still get financial information from your bank but it's a little more manual than just hitting one button like you can in Money or Quicken. It involves downloading and saving your account information via a file (i.e. *.QFX or *.Qif, etc.) saving to your PPC and then using the SPB Finance tools menu to import it in.

What I found out was that it was mostly a one-way sync. My desktop Quicken 2007 data would sync to the Axim, but anything I entered into the Axim wouldn't move to the desktop. I was just the opposite of you, I used Quicken since Quicken for DOS and moved to Money for more/different features. The one thing that really confused me for a bit was that syncing with Quicken, I was used to a popup box that said it was syncing and then when I opened Quicken it showed as imported transactions and I had to accept them. With Money, it is all done via AS and it automagically gets put into Money. Once I got used to that, I like this version of syncing a lot better.
Well, Johnp266, now that we've been discussing the various features and having a conversation, do you think that Janstey has gotten way more information than he needs :)
Cheers,
David

That is why I just went and bought Quicken Pocket PC. with Spb Finance, it would only sync one way. From the laptop to the Axim. Paid $5 more for the Quicken program, but at least it will sync both ways.

Do you think that SPB Finance is better than Cash Organizer? I ask because I'm about to start using an Expenses Manager and I'm deciding...
Cash Organizer has many things that SPB don't, such as Projects, more reports types (I think), better UI (if you care about it), etc. This last point might be a con, since it seems to be a little slower than SPB and also takes longer time to initially load.
So... what'd you recommend me and why?
Thanks.

Unfortunately I'm not really familiar other than seeing screen shots and looking at their website) with Cash Organizer. Looks pretty good. I'm assuming it's a stand alone system?
Oditius, let me know what you think about Pocket Quicken. I've been looking at that a little closer. I probably would have bought that if I already had Quicken but I purchased SPB Finance first to as a stand alone system before deciding to try out Quicken 2007. I'm assuming is syncs with 2007 just fine?
Ya, drowe, I think we could call this thread a pretty good source for Mobile Financial Apps. :)

I looked I have Quicken 2006. And I just bought Pocket Quicken. But have discovered the mistake I was making with Spb Finance. I didn't see it was putting it on the bottom of quicken. and I was suppose to accept it.
