This is old news. Search and you'll find many threads on the A02 update for the X50 series. Personally I recommend it highly, but many are still complaining about performance when in reality it's mainly a problem with poorly written software. I updated within a week of release and other than applying the fake server hack I have not had any problems with it. I like the look and feel of this new OS, and when asked why upgrade I reply because it will be supported much longer than 2003. Anyone who didn't own an old Toshiba wouldn't understand. :) Give it a try, but follow all directions carefully and make sure that all software you install is truly WM5 compatible. You can always roll back if you don't like it.

Yes,by all means do a search and you will find that most had trouble and rolled back to what they had.The good news is you can try it and have the option to roll back.

I am one of the happy users who installed this upgrade.
With A02, I find that the startup is faster, and issue with ActiveSync has decreased tremendously compared to the initial A01 release.
If your X50v has been upgraded to WM5, this is surely a good update!

Sorry I didn’t mentioned that I had WM 2005 on my machine just right after it came out, but I rolled back two weeks after, I was just hopping that this new path will solve most of the WM2005 issues. But as far as I can see people are saying different things.
The new path works for some people and does not for others. I am confused and the only way to figure it out is to install the new update. It means reinstall all the programs, configure everything from scratch…I hate it
I am missing new GPS program that works only on WM2005 IGuidance and many other programs that works better on WM2005. Microsoft force perople to swithc to the new OS...

I was having trouble with my WM2005 upgrade. I have recently applied the fake server, uninstalled wisbar advance and installed magic button. My x50v has run without error for the past five days.
