I just cannot figure out why my power light is flashing green. There are not any pending notifications that I can find. I have soft reset. It also flashes when the thing is off and in safe mode. Any clues?

i did use an alarm recently I think that is what caused it but I turned off the alarm since ... never saw to dimiss it thought is that what it is hung up on if so how do i dismiss it

I just went through this same problem a few days ago, had to do a hard reset 1st time ever.:realmad: I had used a timer notification to tell me when 15 minutes had gone by. I shut off All sounds and lights etc., etc., to no avail, soft reset no help either.
LOL I don't know what made mine go away but try setting your powerbutton to full power off, hold down the power button and cancel the waring for full power off and voila! :)
Though it'll return much later, as I said I forgot. Dell did release a new patch for notifications I just remembered try downloading it (sorry I don't have a direct link)

Unfortunately, it does not work. More precisely, it helps before next “full power off” or battery change.((( I performed following procedure:
1. Request for a “full power off”
2.
The problem went off.
3. Power off – power on (standard one with screen turning off)
Everything is still OK.
4. Perform a “full power off”
Axim refused to turn on back. It can be addressed only by a battery disconnect or by a HR request with subsequent dismiss (press Mail button).
5. HR request
6. (dismiss HR)
Time appeared to be reset to 0:00. Everything is still OK.
7. Synchronize time with vxUtil
The problem goes on.(((
I just had this issue this evening, panicked and found this thread. I have an x50v with WM2003SE so it may not be the same, but while I was reading I put my Ax on the cradle, let it sync up, all the while, it kept flashing, then after about 5 minutes or so, I took it off the base and it stopped. It must have just got some signals crossed and I think syncing it with my laptop helped to unconfuse it. This green power light flashing thing happened to me once before too.
BTW, here's my series of events:
Powered up my axim and had gray vertical lines.
did a soft reset, and got the white screen.
I took out my CF card and did another soft reset
got my regular screen back (yay!), put the CF card back in,
but thats when flashing started.
My Axim is getting a little quirky anymore, but I'm so glad I didn't have to do a hard reset.
I had this problem for a long time when my Axim X51v A12 was charging off a 3rd party charge cable (sync/charge, with the USB plugged into an AC->USB power adapter) , I thought The battery was going flakey on me (charge, discharge, charge, discharge or something). It's only happened when I use that 3rd party cable usually, though it may happen at other times, I've not noticed it.
