Well..... you can say I'm stupid if you want, and it's probably true :) I was trying to sort why my X51v had stopped notifying me of calendar events, you can probably see where this is going..... Using MemMaid I was browsing the Notification queue. Problem is I got over enthusiastic and deleted the entry which activates the communications when an RS232 connection event occurs. Now the PDA won't talk to activesync (Ver 4.2) :-( Can anyone tell me what is supposed to be kicked off, from the notification queue, when the PDA is put in the cradle?
I have tried going into Activesync on the Axim and de-selecting USB for communication and then reselecting in an attempt to get the entry back in the queue but this didn't work.
When I drop the Axim in the cradle the PC begins with the "requesting IP address" icon on the task bar and then moves on to activesync going green and trying to communicate. This is ALWAYS the case and has been ever since I bought the Axim. The only problem is NOW the communication fails. On the PDA the communication icon on the menu bar doesn't change from the no communication mode.
If someone can help, I promise I won't do THIS one again!
Also, does anyone have any idea how I can get my Axim organising me again? It just won't activate any calendar entries so they don't popup or alarm as I have requested. This began last week or the week before but I can't pinpoint the time or what I did
Thanks in advance
Andrew
