Vista & Office 2007 Syncing

Anyone had any luck syncing Vista and Office 2007. When I connect Axim X50v Vista sees the Axim but does not go through steps to set up partnership. Can anyone help?

I have had no luck either when trying to sync my X51v OS 5.1.195 (Build 14957.2.3.1) with Vista Ultimate and Outlook 2007 on my XPS 410. I have downloaded WMDC and removed it and downloaded it several times. I had no trouble on my old 8300 running XP Professional. I used the old PC to upgrade the Axim ROM to ver A12 from A04. The new desktop recognizes that the Axim is connected and is password protected. But the driver download always fails. Then WMDC comes back with ERROR.

I finally got WMDC to recognize my Axim and set up a partnership. When I got my new computer with Vista and Office 2007 I used PClaplink to move everything from my old XP machine. I had no choice but to move all or nothing, so I moved all. When I finally removed ActiveSync and McAfee from the new machine and downloaded WMDC (again) my Axim was recognized and a partnership was established.

Now I have to figure out how to get it to use Outlook contacts, calendar, notes and tasks. WMDC says that calendar and contacts are syncing but I don't know from where. It isn't from Outlook or the stand alone Windows programs.

Microsoft releases mobile syncing software

Problem solved, Microsoft has issued mobile syncing software, for Vista, not activesync 4.5. Installed with no problems. Search at Microsoft's website or go to www.activewin.com. I think they posted yesterday or Monday 3/12/07.
