SD Image Loader Issue - How in the world do I create an .nb0 file!?

Hi,

I have read the entire SB Image loader thread and it seems that everyone is using a program called 'IMG2NB0F.exe' to create .nb0 files for the image they want to load from the SD card. I followed the link in the article, supplied the credentials and downloaded the executable. It's the "newer one" that doesn't make you enter a length or anything, just browse to the .img file and click 'DO'.

Well when I click 'DO' it looks like it's doing something, and then it proceeds to create a 0 KB .nb0 file. It is always blank! I have tried waiting forever and the file is never filled up with anything! I know it is finding a valid image file because it is giving it valid output file names.

Is this because I am running it from vista? They said it was a .net app, so that shouldn't be an issue. I've even tried running it as admin and it only creates blank files and never gets to the 'OK' prompt that the tutorial said would come up.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Hey,

Could someone be kind enough to generate a .nb0 file from this img:
AximX50v_WM5_A02EN.IMG

and get it to me somehow (rapidshare, yousendit, im, whatever)? I keep pounding away at this utility that is supposed to create a .nb0 file from .img but it simply does not work.

This is simply an image of an image that is freely available from Dell. I do not need to make the jump from 2003 to wm5, I just want to try reinstalling a02. I actually need my axim for work and was lucky enough to get snowed out today.

Please either post here or send me a pm if you can help me out.

Well given the urgency of the matter I guess I am going to use the x50v wm5 a01 .nb0 file that I found to go to a01 and then HOPE that I can go from a01 to a02 in Windows Vista.

If anyone has any experience doing that upgrade in Vista I hope to hear from you.

Just FYI, I was NOT able to upgrade from a01 to a02 normally in vista. Thankfully I found an a02 .nb0 by looking closely at the SD image loader thread, so I'm good now.

I have a Mac, so i don't have activesync, and i will like to get the A02 WM5 Rom on my x50v, so i need the nb0 file from AximX50v_WM5_A02EN.IMG

Can you help me with that?

it looks great, but i can see that the wm5 a02 is for the x50 and not the x50v, as my device is....is that a problem?
