What Soundchip is in the AximX51v

does anybody know what soundchip is in the aximx51v?

is it a WM8750 or is this only installed in the x50 ?

x50 and x51 series have identical hardware, with the only difference being that the x51 series has a small capacitor instead of a backup battery. (it was no longer needed due to persistent storage in WM5)

Edit: I forgot about the processor, storage wireless, and graphics differences between the models! D'oh! It's still consistent across the 50/51 lines. (X50 low = X51 low, X50 mid = X51 mid, X50v = X51v)

That is an incorrect statement.
The X51, in addition to having a small storage cell instead of the nicad on the X50, has a number of hardware changes to support the change to NAND flash from the NOR flash the X50 series used. There were also a number of changes to the lcd driver circuits (low level) as well. That means you can just take an X50v and change it into an X51v - that won't work. That is also why it took so long to get an update for WM5 for the X50 series after the X51 series had several updates. A number of the drivers are different between the two models.

But yes, they use the same soundchip, WiFi chips the BFR6150, which is the successor to the BFR6100 bluetooth chip used in the X50 series.
