How long did you have your axim before it broke down?
How long did you have your axim before it broke down? This is a general question for all axim users x5-x51v. I'm posting this in x50 forum because i don't see general forum for all axims.
DAMN: I just noticed that my "still working" option does not make sense. Is there anyway to remove it? Moderator please?

My X50 was replaced after 11 months when it stopped booting completely. It was stuck at the alignment screen.

Yes, I just bought my axim x51v and I am wondering how long it will last (I use it daily mostly for music and web surfing). Actually from what I read about axims overall they seem to be pretty reliable PDAs as compared to newer PALMS. And hp with its tiny screen wasn't even and option for me.

Matt I have used my X51v extensively daily and have done so since the first part of December last year with no problems.

Probably will with proper care. Probably will need to replace battery after 2 0r 3 years depending on how often you use it.

Same here, a year and a half of daily use. Mainly surfing Aximsite, listening to music, GPS, games....no issues.

I have three, an X5, an X50 and an X50v. All three are in service, but I only got to vote once.

I like the "still working" option because my original refurb. lasted one year which I traded in for one that's "still working" :approve:

Had my x51v a little over a year, and it still works fine. I have to send it in for a replacement due to a small crack in the lower right corner of the digitizer screen though. Hope I get a good one in return!

My X5 from 2003 is still working.
My X50v had to be replaced after 10 months because the sync/charge connection got loose. It was replaced in August of 2005 and the replacement (Complete Care!) has worked fine since.
So my final tally is:
X5: 3+ years and still working
X50v: 10 months, then connector issue
X50v (replacement): 1+ year and still working

My X50v is still going strong to this day. Course, I haven't used it in forever because I'm fixing to sell it.
