I am having a terrible time getting my Axim and computer fixed with the DST patch. My computer is running Windows XP Professional and received the Windows Update changes from Microsoft. Then, following MS's recommendations, I tried to run the tzmove.exe patch to fix Outlook, but got an "Operation failed" message. I then ran the patch for Windows Mobile.
The results on the Axim:
--All of my old appointments on the Axim for the three week period in question are shifted an hour earlier.
--Anything entered since the patching fiasco is at the time entered on the Axim.
The results on the computer:
--All old appointments on Outlook are listed at their original time.
--Anything entered post-patching is shifted _later_ an hour.
Help! I'm not even sure how all of this _should_ appear to know what is correctly patched and what isn't.
Well, I finally got the tzmove patch to run (apparently it needed Outlook to be the default for email. I use it for calendar and contacts, but never for email. It would have been nice to know that having it as the default for email was necessary to fix a calendar problem).
But now - the appointments on Outlook are all shifted an hour early on my desktop, and two hours early on the Axim! I am hoping that the hour early problem will be fixed when DST actually happens, but why aren' t my desktop and Axim synched?
Also - does anyone know this - if I enter an appointment on either the Axim or desktop after everything is patched, should it be okay? Or will DST shift those appointments?
one last thing, did you take the download for the Axim and activesync it to have it installed? After that you need to switch your time zones (in the Clock settings) to any other time zone, click Save, then switch it back to your time zone and click Save. That activates the patch.

Thanks - that seems to have helped. Now my Axim and desktop are at least synched, though some of the appointments are listed an hour early and some at the actual time. I guess I'll just have to see if somehow after the time change actually happens they switch to what they should be.

I too have noticed some of my appointment times on my Axim changed after I installed the patch and switched the time zone, then switched it back. However, my appointments in question are listed an hour later . I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings

Well, after all of that, the patches changed appointments an hour earlier, but then, after the time change actually happened, they never changed them back. I'm not sure what the patch accomplished except that now I have to manually change everything back to what it was in the first place.

Same thing happened to me, but my appointments were changed to an hour later. After the patch ran and updated the time correctly on my Axim, the non-reoccurring appointments did not change back to the correct time. :rolling: Fortunately I was able to manually change them back with little trouble.
