Main battery removal

Hi.
On my X51v, I know I have 5mins to change the main battery, before loss of time and date settings.

My question is what happens after that time if the battery is left out?

Do I loose all my settings, as in a hard reset or is it just the time and date?

Cheers.

It will be the equivalent of doing a soft reset, and you'll lose the time and date. All other data, programs, etc will be fine.

On the x51[v] it's the equivelent of a soft reset. on the x50[v], it's the equivilent of a hard reset.

and on the X50(v) + WM5, it's the equivilant of suspending/unsuspending

The X50[v] has a back up battery so nothing will happen while the backup battery retains its charge which it should for about 30 minutes. When the backup battery goes flat then it will be a hard reset.

dell removed backup battery from x51v models... all data is saved on ROM therefore they dont need backup battery no more. But the tradeoff is that all unsaved data on RAM will be lost everytime we replace battery. Which is quite often because the 1100mah battery sucks!
