Aximsitex50icon Sync-ing an hour behind

I am new to the Axim x50. It is syncing my calender an hour behind. I am using Microsoft outlook 2003. It was doing ok for a while, a few gliches here and there, but now everyting. We have done a reset on the Axim and it did not help. I may try it again.

We put in resolve all conflicts.

Anyone have any ideas??

Thanks - Frustred Jen

The most obvious thing may be that you did not download and install the Microsoft patch to fix the Axim clock for Daylight Savings Time, it is now 3 weeks earlier. At this point since DST occured at 4:11am today, you will need to just fix the clock on your Axim manually and then fix any appts. that are not correct. Then in 3 weeks when your Axim adjusts the clock for the old DST, you will need to adjust the clock and appts. again.

Thank you- We thought we did the update, but odviously not. We finnally found a link to do so and I am all in sync now.
I checked 3 weeks from now and the times were right. But now everything is correct. Thank you so much. The only benifet was I would have been 45 minutes early for everything, (because I seem to be 10 minutes late all the time). Happy jen

My Axim started moving everything back an hour about 2 Weeks ago. I bought a new Dell Inspiron 6400 updated the active sync an now my appointment are right in my outlook on my computer, but when I sync, it move them back 1 hour. Any help as to why this started and how can I fix it.

Check the time zones on the Ax and Inspiron are the same. What actually gets synced is the GMT, and each device then calculates the local time. If they don't match you get that kind of symptom.

Worried

I can't figure mine out either. I was up til 4AM trying to sort it all out. I found this site, here, and I did what someone suggested, which was to go to Microsoft sight. I followed all the instructions. I even upgraded to ActiveSync 4.5....NOTHING other than increased frustration. I changed the time zones..NOTHING. It would keep for a little while and then jump back an hour and Outlook appts, jump back an hour. Today, I changed the time zone in Outlook and changed the hour ahead in Axim...it kept for a bit, until it synced....appointment times remained the same but clock on Axim didn't....WHAT's UP with that..... I'm so beyond frustrated...and it's all that darn Bush's fault, isn't it? But if there's someone out there that can help me ...much appreciated. "HELP ME, SOMEBODY HELP ME!" brngrl86, here are some thoughts:

1. What operating system on each device?
2. Are both of them patched for DST?
3. Are both set to the same timezone?
4. Is DST set on the PC?

Remember, it syncs only GMT, so if either is in the wrong timezone, or if either doesn't have the DST fix, or if either doesn't have DST set, you'll get that jumping.

If you are running XP, double click on the clock in the lower right corner of the desktop, then when the properties screen opens, on the TimeZone tab make sure the "automatically adjust..." box is checked. You may have to reboot and then reset the clock. Does the Inspiron have the DST fix from MS?

I had done everything that you've mentioned last night (morning). DST are correct/same on both.... clock on Axim still kicks back an hour and my appts. jump up an hour....INSANE. I'm about ready to through in the towel and forget it all. ...
