A very tiny piece of shredded paper fell into the reset button gap
Oh no, what to do? A very tiny piece of paper fell into the gap between reset button and the unit. How do I get it out? It's actually a piece of sandpaper. I need to remove it asap before it damages the hardware inside :( any ideas?
hmm...... maybe a VERY VERY VERY small dap of glue on the tip of a tooth pick? put the tooth pick in the hole and wait until the glue dries then put the paper out. or you could try to open the ax and pull it out that way.

Well first stay calm. One thought is to use a shop vac and try and suck it out. the other is canned air, but that might push it futher in. The best bet is twisers and pull it out gently, but make sure you have a good grip on it you don't want to leave any behind. As a last resort, you can pull all the rubber feet off the back and un-screw the back.
(If you chose to perform any of these, it is at your own risk. I will not be held liable).

Reason: ABF beat me to it. Good idea with the glue.
well, you arent goign to get anyware with the shop vac i adea becosue of the way air flows (you would need another hole of equal or greater size in order to form a good suckign stream of air) so your chooses are: A. void your warrenty and open it up, B. send it back to dell and get a replacment refurb.
it has to be almost microscopic to fit in that hole. I can't imagine that it will do any harm. I would just leave it. What kind of sandpaper was it? hopefully nothing metalic or conductive. other than that i would just forget it.
Are you still under warranty? If not, then you could open up the Axim. I wouldn't recommend it otherwise because it'll void the warranty. Other than that, there's not much you can do.

An "X" in my post shows I'm posting from my Axim.
Nobody can be sure, but if it's non-conductive and small enough to go in that hole, it's highly unlikely to cause a problem. Contrary to what ABF said (and without going into the engineering details), a vacuum may work... it can't hurt.
