X50v Windows 2003SE wake-up Problem

I am a new owner of a Dell Axim X50v and i notice a serious problem with my pda.
If i have my wlan card on and the messaging tool configured to auto receive messages every x(5,10,..) minutes when i turn off my pda in stand-by mode, after the x minutes the wlan led (green led) blinks and most of the time the pda crashes and i have to soft reset it to turn it on again.
I find that it has to do with the messaging program, and especially with the auto receive that even in standby mode tries to connect to receive mails, and everything crashes.
Does anyone else has the same problem?
Can i somehow configure probably another mailing application to auto receive mails with out problem? I just want to auto receive mails only when the pda is turned on.
If anyone knows something more please help.

Messaging is going to be nothing but a pain, and it will drain ur batt.

For now, turn off the auto recieve.
