It is not possible with Ratoc CFU1U because its very low data transfer rate.
I made some measurements with my CFU1U and I agree with speeds published at Ratoc CFU1U FAQ (take the best ones in the table = 0.24MB/s).

Since 3 days ago it is available the new Ratoc model CFU2 but its FAQ says same speeds like previuos model (254KB/s = 0.254MB/s).

I have no idea about SolarExpress data speed but at Ratoc CFU2 FAQ there is a very important information: the limitation is at PDA side because CFU2 is able to handle 4 times more (1MB/s).

That data transfer rate is right on the limit for playing back a "standard length" - "CD size" movie. A 100min movie in 700MB CD requires an averaged transfer of 0.116MB/s. Compressed data flow is not constant, what I experienced it is at the limit. Including in that situation, when background music appears in the movie (then data transfer increases) it sometimes stops for a while for buffer refilling.

Sorry, it is hardly possible playing back a CD quality movie through USB host post, IMPOSSIBLE a DVD quality movie.

I agree. Get a program like FairUse and rip it down to a size and framerate acceptable for your purposes, and then transfer the file to your memory card. The USB hosts for your PDA are going to be too slow.

Clegs...I looked at that program...looks like the DVD I tried to shrink is too big for a 4gb sd disk...I must be missing something...how can you get more than one dvd downloaded on a card?

Right now I use DVD Shrink to get the movie to my computer, and SOMPY MovieEncoder to convert the moviews to a nice small size. The best thing is, it's FREE!
