Hope this is of some help!

What I'm about to say you may already know, but I hope it is of some help. All you'd do is activate your bluetooth on ur pda and search for bluetooth devices..As long as bluetooth on your phone is on it should detect it. You'd just click on the phone that shows on ur dell and then just follow the steps..Probably will ask for a passkey that u'll make up to communicate with the phone. And u'll also have to accept access on ur phone for the dell. The phone will then dial the internet phone number that ur cell phone service uses. If you don't know the phone number just call ur cell phone service provider. Well, goodluck and if this is not the info u wanted, i apologize. I replied , since no one has replied to my question either so I can understand what ur going through. Thanks again!

Hi Munk, much appreciated.

what I am trying to do, though, is use the WAP / 3G connection on my mobile phone and not dial a modem number, I cant seem to be able to do this.

Can you tell us
Type of phone and the Service provider.
Then we might be able to point you in the right direction.
There are many threads here already about this.
Look in the Wireless forum.
I will post some links for you if I find the time.

As in my profile, Sony Ericsson K800i and Dell Axim x51v. I can connect via the internet using 3G using my laptop through my phone, but I don't see options for this with the Axim

O2, UK :)

I didn't believe this info was necessary for the Axim - I thought I hsould just tell the Axim to use a "BLuetooth modem", and then on my phone I have configured "Bluetooth modem" to connect via 3G
