Why is my volume so loud?

Hello everyone - Whenever I play an mp3 or a video using anything other than Windows Media player, the volume is way too loud through my headphones (high quality, 3 different brands). This happens even at the lowest setting of the main Axim volume control and the GS player or Real One.. etc volume controls. Any ideas? I don't want to buy new headphones with separate volume controls. Thanks

Please ignore my last question about the volume being too loud. I found the pre amp setting in all except Real Player which I can live with. Thank you

Look into x50mix if you have a x50(v) or x51(v). It allows adjustments to the axim's hardware equalizer. That way, you don't need to adjust the volume/equalizer for each program/media player.

Yes, the X50v's headphone is LOUD. Try TCPMP, Mortplayer. Their volume control can be configured to control the preamp instead.
