Help on running Quake for PPc on X51V

Hi people!
I downloaded and tried Quake for PPC, but have a problem during install...
Some GX.dll can´t be downloaded to PDA since another version exists on the read only portion of storage space. I can´t see information on its version (or still don´t know how to do this) and can´t copy it to my PC with Active Sync because of a Access Denied error.

But with the Axim original version the program started.

I can start game, jump, fire, listem to the game sounds, walk in the scenarios, but only get a blank screen. All the guns and on screen controls are perfectly visible, but the game graphics are not being rendered. Except whem I quit the application. While Quake is being closed, I can see the game´s 3D graphics and the onscreen menus.

Can be this GX dll the problem? It seens like a graphics dll, I guess.
Or can it be an compatibility problem with the graphics accelerator on my Axim?

Anyone knows of some tips to get Quake working?

This should be in the games forum. There are numerous posts here on aximsite on running Pocket Quake on an X51v. Here's one of them.

From his post, it looks like he's trying to install Pocket Quake, which is old and free but requires a lot of hacking to become functional. The commercial Quake Mobile, on the other hand, works with the X51v with no changes.

Yes, I was talking about the free version...

Sorry by the misplaced topic. I usually don´t do that. These last four days were too hard to me that I´m getting :rolling:. I will try to get information on this Quake subject in the other forums. But now, thanks by your attention.

About The commercial version, I think ain´t prepared to spend some money in a commercial version of Quake now. With a 1:2 Dollar US$ to Real R$ ratio here in Brazil, this game becomes a little expensive to me. But thanks by the tip, anyway!:approve:
