XCPUScalar and soft reset or power off

I'm using the XPUScalar tool and basically I'm happy with it. There is only one annoying problem with it:
It needs the CPU performance setting to be set to maximum performance or the entire device will hang. Now whenever my Axim is soft reseted or powered down completely this setting gets reverted to automatic scaling causing the device to hang shortly after boot.
Is there a way to make the max performance setting to stick permanently?

I've posted many times about this. It's a XCPUScalar problem -- it doesn't disable the built in scalar, so it crashes on startup.

Fucking annoying, I know. The only solution - don't enable autostart at startup.

Thanks for your answer. I just wonder why the setting in the processor performance tab would not survive a cold boot.

Is there a registry entry which sets this value? I searched for it but didn't find one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
