Hi frederick4711, welcome to Aximsite! Are you referring to the Widcomm BT stack? A fairly detailed thread and links can be found here. I'm not sure if these versions are language-specific, however.

I kept having problems connecting to my Dell GPS unit with the default BT stack, and once I upgraded it has been working virtually flawlessly.

But if the problem was solved following a hard reset, then that must mean the BT stack is fine for GPS and that there must be some other cause of the problem (e.g., software conflicts, etc.).

The Widcomm BT stack is a replacement for the Microsoft BT stack that shipped with Dell Axims. It offers more functionality, and many people's experience is that it has been more reliable as well. This has been my experience on my X51v, but others may have had different results.

I will say it's probably not for novices, but was not particularly difficult to install. Note that a hard reset will I believe set the system back to using the default BT stack.

Sorry, I didn't read the whole thread before posting the link.

I don't think you need the Widcomm stack, I don't think it was designed for wm2003.

Your native BT should be ok.

As Gigi mentioned in her post, you probably have some other problem. A program you have installed since you hard reset may be interfering with your gps.
