Calendar appointment options

I'm having a problem with my X51V. I can't get in and change the options for my apointments. If I go into calendar, hit menu/options it comes up on the General tab. If I try to select the appointments tab, it freezes up for a couple of seconds and then closes the calendar completly. Any body have any ideas why.

Also is there a way to set the calendar to come up with the default view being the month view? It seems to vary as to how it comes up, sometimes in agenda view, sometimes day, sometimes week view, but never the month view.

Any help would be appreciated.

Don't know: have you tried a soft (or hard) reset to see if that fixes the problem?

I've done a soft restart. But haven't done a hard one yet, as I haven't backed it up lately. You think that's worth a shoot? If I us Data Backup Ver. 3.10 that came on it, does that backup all software and settings I've changed on the unit if I select "back up all data".

I confess that I don't use the bundled backup application: I've moved to Spb Backup. You can also use ActiveSync.

However, restoring from the backup may just reintroduce the problem. Take a backup (two if you can use different utilities) and then (and only then!) hard reset. Try reloading the applications and data a bit at a time to see if any applications or plugins are causing the problem. I know that it is a pia, but you always have the backups if you want to use them.

Thanks for your help Jogga, I'll have to try it and see if anything is introducing the problem. I'm not sure what would as I don't have that many app's installed, but I'll give it a shot. Thanks again.
