Software recommendation under WM5 (A02)

After 1.5 years, my X50v with wm2003se hang and I had to do a hard reset.

Since I had to install everything again, I took the chance to jump onto WM5 A02, feel ok so far.

Now need your recommendations of softwares under WM5 in various areas

1. VGA switching

2. ebook reader

3. Internet brower

4. video playback

5. Flash/youtube support app(or plugin)

6. Task switcher

7. IM/Chat/VOIP

8. Misc: Any other apps that you think are great and must have.

Top Notch MyPDA
Total Awards: 1

Hello and Welcome to the site...After 2 yrs with an Axim, here are my $.02
1) OZVga
2) Microsoft Reader
3) Opera Mobile Browser
4) TCPMP
5) Flash Player 7 for PPC
6) Wisbar Advance 2
7) No Recommendation
8) PocketBreeze, Pocket Informant 2007, and FlexMail 2007

For what its worth, I have to agree with FunkyCowie though. The x50v does not like WM5 A02. After running ok for about 2 weeks, my device just locked up. Dell replaced the unit with an x51v. If you look around these forums, you'll find more horror stories than successes. Good luck with it if you decide to keep it.

I'd recommend the above, with a few exceptions:

-I don't use VGA hacks, but OzVGA seems like the best choice
-I don't have any e-books, so I can't really recommend any reader software
-iLauncher is my preferred task manager

Oh, and if it's VoIP you're looking for, there's a Skype client available. I don't use VoIP, but I thought you might like to know about it. Don't know of any other VoIP clients, though.

wrt whether WM5 upgrade is good or not for x50v, from the posts I've seen, there're both good/happy and bad/sad stories.

I'll keep playing around with your s/w recommendations. Hopefully after 2 weeks my axim is still running smooth :)
