THE x50v graphic processor, what is it good for...
I'm not sure if I ever really use the potential of this device...
I basically use it to organise me, listen to music, surf the net, syncronise my outlook stuff especially nice to be able to read your emails outside away from the studio...
I love the VGA clarity on the x50v...but really there must be more I can be doing with it...
What is the graphics processor doing for me and how can I use it more.
What specifically would this have over any other VGA device without the extra graphics card ?

Its doing the VGA out if you do that.
Its doing the processing in TCPMP if you use that
All mine is doing at the moment is 3D pool.

So I guess I am not using the Graphics processor then

Well I think it helps drive the vga, but its not the killer feature that many touted it to be
3D pool on the other hand
www.celeris.com/games/vpmobile/main.html
and go for the demo of the X50v/X51v version

TCPMP evolved into Coreplayer, and uses the graphics processor in the X50v/X51v for better video decoding (it has extensions to work on the type of data used by Divx and similar files) and better scaling/rotation than can be done in software. This mainly means that using the graphics processor you can put the main processor on power saving and not notice any problems with playing films, which means longer battery life. On another device that lacks the 2700g putting the processor in "Power Save" would make the video juddery and completely unwatchable.
As psionandy says, it is not the killer tool it was boasted to be, but with the soon-to-be XDA Flame using an nVidia OpenGL-ES graphics processor we may see a revival of games capable of working with the OpenGL-ES capable X50v/X51v....
So long as you find your X50v useful, who cares about using it to it's full potential? I use my Axim in most of the same ways as you do and if I could go back and change my mind about buying my X51v I wouldn't, I find it useful in so many different ways every day.
Oh, and the Playstation emulator FPSECE can use the graphics processor for faster video and near-full speed playstation emulation.

Wow...what a superb game that pool for the x50v and x51v is....just installed the demo and the sounds and graphics are superb, love the quick/instant loading.
the way you use the stylus to aim and shoot, just like playing pool...not keen on the crap music, but turn that off and the sounds are brilliant...thanks for the link.
Any other games similar in style and quality made for the x50v...
this is nearly as graphically agood s the PSP...I am amazed

On the companion CD that came with the X51v (not the 3D Game CD) there was a copy of Toy Golf which is pretty smart, had both v and non-v versions. It says demo but it has a good few holes to play...

Toy Golf...I'd like to give it a shot(no pun intended, if there is one), but like the OP, I have an X50v.
That means we have Stuntcar Extreme and Enigmo bundled with our devices, not GeoRally EX and Toy Golf.
I know there's a 2700G/OpenGL-ES-optimized thread somewhere here on Aximsite, but I don't know where it is. Then again, this is why forums are equipped with a Search function. On the other hand, said thread should be stickied!
In lieu of a direct link, here's a list of apps that I know utilize the thing(not counting the bundled games I listed above):
-TCPMP/CorePlayer (can accelerate MPEG-4 video, not sure about other formats)
-DoomGL
-PocketSNES (Tala's OpenGL-ES build only)
-FPSECE (only a recent beta has OGL-ES support)
-Quake Mobile (sadly, it's payware, unlike the unaccelerated and multiplayer-capable Pocket Quake)
-Cube FPS engine (not certain on this, but I'm pretty sure there's a port optimized for the X50v/X51v)
-Yeti3D demo (don't remember the link, and therefore I haven't tried it)

with the 2700G processor, you can actually run 25fps avi files on the x50/1v without problem. where as if u try the same for...say dogpod 838 pro, it wont play properly even though its running at 624mhz
