Preventing WiFi Searching

Here's a problem. I want to prevent the Wifi card from connecting to any network except one I specify. Basically, I want to set the SSID in the AXIM to something like "MyWifi" and have it ignore all the "linksys"'s etc that happen to occasionally pop in when I temporarily lose connection to "MyWifi"

Any ideas?

hello, have you already accessed these other "Linksys" networks using their security keys?? If not, the axim should only access the network you have used and entered a security key for. You can also tap and hold over the other networks that show as available and delete them, but truly the Axim can only access the network you have previously set up with security keys to access.

Unless the other routers have no protection enabled, which is quite possible if the router still broadcasts "Linksys" as the SSID.
Most home users do not enable any type of security on wireless routers, they just plug them in and connect.

That's exactly the problem. no encryption so the Axim hooks up to it no problem. Is there any way to stop it?

Rescan is always on, it is WM flaw.
Hiding SSID has nothing with it.

Unfortunately that's what I was afraid of. This seems like a pretty simple flaw to fix, you'd think it would be taken care of. Thanks for your help.
