Hardset problem after failure in upgrading to A12

Hey Aximers,

As a lot of ppl, I failed to upgrade to A12 and failed to perform any hardset after that time, I left me device without power for almost 4 months, today I tried again to do the hardrest but again the same problem remains, the Factory setting restore menu appears only for less than one seconed and the device starts up normally.

I don't want to upgrade any more, but I want to make a hardrest.

Would you help me please?

Thanks in advance

In order to have the Hard Reset function, you need to upgrade or reinstall ROM successfuly.

Or just continue with the upgrade. When the update utility asks you to perform a hard reset (which it does *twice*) the first hard reset will do what you are descibing, flash past quickly... When it does this just let it boot and when it reconnects to activesync, assuming you didn't close the update tool, it will give you an option of continuing the update and then tell you to do a hard reset again.

The second hard reset will work.

Basically as long as your device still connects to activesync then all you need to do is run the update again and follow the steps precisely.
