I finally got my 2GB Hitachi CF card and then i inserted it into the Axim. The axim recognizes it and it works perfectly. Well now the problem is i can't remove the CF card from its slot or maybe i don't know how! I tried lifting it up but it won't budge and i tried pressing it down and hoping it would come out like the SD card but still nothing happened!
the trick is to put a piece of tape on it before you push it in. you take a piece of tape long enough to go about half way down both sides plus about a half inch extra. put the tape on both sides but leave a little sticking up that you put together to make a tab on the outer edge. be sure not to cover up any air holes in the drive ( I assume it is a drive in a flash package?) then you use the tab to pull it out. for now you will have to gently pry it out using the edges and maybe a small screwdriver or VERY gently use a pair of needle nose pliers but be careful not to squeeze too hard or you will damage the drive.
You can also remove the SD card, then push a piece of tape into the slot, sticky side to the CF card, use a toothpick to get it stuck to the CF card and GENTLY pull until the card comes out.
Maybe I'm missing something here, buy both my CF cards, from different manufacturers, have enough of a "lip" on the backside such that I can fairly easily pull the card out with a couple fingernails (though if you've chewed yours off that can be a problem)
