Widcomm BT stack memory consumption

I recently read some post that says widcomm BT stack takes 2MB of RAM.
I just did a hard reset to PDA, installed SKTools and I did the following procedure:
  1. SKTool Optimize for memory.
  2. Soft reset: 31.51MB free.
  3. SKTools FreeUp RAM: 32.14MB free.
  4. Installed Widcomm BT stack.
  5. Soft reset: 31.04MB free.
  6. SKTools FreeUp RAM: 31.70MB free.
  7. SKTool Optimize for performance.
  8. Soft reset: 29.02MB free.
  9. SKTools FreeUp RAM: 29.69MB free
It seems widcomm BT stack takes about 0.5MB.

I did a hard reset again and I can see "optimize for performance" takes also 2MB without widcomm BT stack.

Please post your comments if you think it is not a right procedure.
Also any suggestion about how to get as much free RAM as possible is welcome.

Any idea what settings the "Optimise for Performance" changes?

I guess it boost the glyph cache to 16384, but do you know what else it does? For only using 2MB extra RAM I'd consider doing the tweaks...

Nice comparison of how much extra RAM the Widcomm stack uses BTW, I was a bit reluctant to use it after hearing that it took so much more RAM.

Oviuosly it is enlarging some system buffers.
I am not too much interested about what exactly it does, I just try to convince myself that is good and necessary for performance :rolling:

If you want to know what exactly it does just: hard reset PDA, install SKTools, backup registry with tool added by SKTools, optimize for performance, backup registry to a new file and finally make a diff between 2 reg files :)

One important thing:
I am not able to roll back from "optimize for performance" to "optimize for memory", it seems to do nothing. I have not tried reinstaling SKTools.
