Can I tether my x51v to a Sprint Moto Q?

I have an unlimited data plan on my Sprint Moto Q. Can I tether my x51v to it using bluetooth and brose the web on my x51v? I was able to use bluetooth to connect my Q and my x51v. While making the connect, my x51v showed that one of the services allowed was dial up networking which I selected. Then I went to IE and didn't get any web data.

From what I've heard, a special Phone-as-Modem plan is needed on Sprint if you want to use this functionality. It charges 40 US$ monthly for unlimited, compared to 15 US$ for unlimited without tethering...I've also heard that the highest-use plan is 80 US$ for only 300 MB data, not unlimited. (I really hope it's not the latter.) I'm not quite sure how this all works out despite Sprint being my carrier.
