What's the secret?!I download stuff, and it wants to get the program on the Ax and it says can't find Active Synch...'course cos i dont have it on here and it wont go on here. SO am I screwed or !?

I've got Vista, and sync just fine with "Vista Mobile Device Center." In many ways, I think it's superior to activesync. Once you've got the VMDC installed, you should be able to install programs.
This page should tell you all you need to know:

I just uninstalled the Broadcom Bluetooth Stack. Of course that did not change anything.
Gee wiz, why do so many like myself have such a problem with Vista Windows Mobile Device Center? BTW Dave, I got the part for my Axim screen and corrected that issue!

I am not going to be near my vista machine for at least a week so i can't give very good references right now but maybe you need to download the latest version of Mobile Device Center? I think that some people were having problems with the original version.

Same solution here. I went to Windows Update and downloaded the Sync Center Update and my x51v now syncs contacts, mail, and calendar with my Vista laptop without issue.

Problem I have is that I am using Outlook 2000 and the new Vista windows mobile device center requires Outlook newer than, what is it, 2004? If you want to sync contacts, calendar, etc.
