Cleaning up my Axim

Is there a programme for cleaning up my main memory and cards? Something like you can get for PC's for erasing duplicate or pointless files? And while I'm at it, what about anything for system maintainence to speed things up etc?

Best money I ever spent on an application for my Axim is for SK Tools, does a million in one clean up jobs, including the two you mentioned. Highly recommend.

Thanks Purcy, went and got it. excellent. one small irritating problem though, whenever I now start the Axim I get a Notification error saying "cannot execute\application data\pocketplayerwakeup.exe" It sounds like I've done the equivalent of getting rid of a programme that still has the equivalent of a shortcut in the equivalent of my "startup". Anyone anyideas how to edit that?

You can always go into File Explorer, Windows, Startup and see if there is a link to that program, and delete it; do you have a program called Pocket Player?

Pocket mechanic pro will help with duplicates, unneccesary and temporary files, as will Batt Pack Pro.If you want to delete or uninstall you can do that through activesync, when ax is connected to PC, easiest way.

You could also do a hard reset to restore factory settings, load your applications, sync your data and have a fresh system.

I can't find Pocket player anywhere on the axim. I obviously had it though. I think i'll have to find the programme, install it again and uninstall it in a better way.

Tempting, but not necesarry yet. There's a couple of irritating "notifications" that crop up, but I can live with them. The most obvious one is about obtaining a network address (or IP address or something) when the Axims in its cradle, even though it might be connected to my LAN wirelessly at the time.

Reg that notification is from a completely different thing, Start/settings/connection/USB to PC, and you are presented with the option to enable advanced network functionality, uncheck that selection and it will stop the error message.

In SK Tools, there are two registry cleaners, one finds obsolete links in registry (you do this one first) and the other one gives you the opportunity to delete them. Have you used that yet? There is not too much that SK Tools can't do cleaning wise.
