Bypassing Screen Alignment???

I managed to crack my digitizer on my X51v. The LCD screen is ok thank goodness. My question is...I reset my X51v because it was stuck on a screen that I couldn't get out of (stupid, I know). Anyways, the PDA won't go past the Align Screen display. No matter how many times I try to get through it, it just wont get past it, so...

Is there any way to bypass the Align Screen page w/o aligning the screen?

Isn't that part of the setup process after a hard reset?

Yes it is. I was just hoping I could get past it so I can at least use my contacts page.

I just had the same problem with my X50v - it wouldn't turn on, or reset, so I removed the battery and forced a reset. Then I couldn't get past the 'Align screen' setup. A search of the forums found several things to try, but cleaning around the edge of the digitizer worked for me:

I think if you have infact broken your digitizer, then you are stuck.
Replacing the digitizer would fix the problem, but I'm pretty sure you would lose your contact info while doing it.
Come to think of it, if you are at the screen align page then none of your contact info will still be in the memory. Hard reset wipes everything.
