Hex editor to change rom X51

Hello all total newbie here and am having trouble with my x51. I have looked at all the main ROM flash tutorials to no avail. The problem is that I have a French X51 A05 and want to flash to english using the SD method but am getting no-where. So I seen that there was a hex editor and am going to try and change the English name and version to French and let the Dell update utility do the rest, but notice that the main tutorial is for an X50 and different settings. Any help with this guys would be SO much appreciated as I am pulling my hair out (trying to keep what I have left)
