Now that I have a laptop, the Axim is less important in my life. However, before the lappy, the Axim was primarily a vehicle for ListPro and Pocket Informant. Other nice additions are the Inpad text input system, SPB Diary and Weather, and The Core Media Player.
Haalireader for eBooks
Coreplayer, for mp3s and video
Keepass for password management
Don't play enough games to mention any in particular.
Would use Minimo if it didn't move the keyboard and force me to reset every time I close it.
I use my axim for at least a couple of hours every day, it means I'm not constantly turning on my computer every time I I want to check something on the internet... It is also my mp3 player for work, especially since I got a 2200mAh battery and 4GB SD for it.

Despite my info to the left, I'm currently running my X50v on WM2003SE after having to constantly put up with that EXTREMELY ANNOYING COMPACTION THREAD! (That's the ONLY reason why I don't run WM5 on it. A WM5 GAPI tweak would be nice, though.) However, I do have the WM5 upgrade disc, so what am I supposed to vote for?
Anyway, much like my T|C, I use it every day. Very handy for schoolwork and as an entertainment device. As for apps...
SBSH PocketBreeze
SBSH iLauncher
Resco File Explorer
Opera Mobile
TCPMP
(I wish there was a bit more room to shove PocketSNES and Genesis Plus in, though.)
The one thing I would change, more than anything else? Even more than having a WM5 upgrade that uses XIP and doesn't run that bloody compaction thread all the time, I would like for it to have a front cover that, when flipped to the right, reveals a thumbboard. That's the only real shortcoming compared to my T|C IMHO, as the thumbboard improves my input speed while not adding too much excess bulk and being more convenient to type on the go than a full-size keyboard.
