I don't believe you cam but it begs the question, why are you leaving WiFi on if you don't want to know about available networks? It's just draining your battery more quickly.

Go to Start>settings>sounds&notifications. then go to the notifications tab and select wireless network detected from the drop down list. then uncheck display message on the screen option.

Thanks, Hoggie3. I never realized that was included in the notifications list.

hmm - i don't seem to have that option...

To answer the question - i use my PDA at work connecting to the WiFi & if i'm out on the road i use a powered GPS cradle. if i'm running TomTom or iGo it freezes the screan whilst the popup is displayed.

Well, if you are on the road using GPS it seems unlikely that you would want to be connecting to any wifi because you would be out of range before it could connect, so why not switch it off?

Why don't you turn off wifi while you're using the gps?

Ahhh - i'm running 2003.

TBH - i'm an IT tech & i've started using Wififorum to find the most technologically developed area's.

I'm not connecting to these networks - just recording locations so we can target specific area's.

i've hunted through the x50v's menues & can't see the options.

Try enabling odyssey client. it will disable the built in wifi manager but wififofum should still work.
