Help! software uninstall problem

I tried a little program called bluemusic (bluetooth audio router)
it didn't work so I uninstalled (using remove programs) it but it left a shortcut on my today screen right where the contacts launcher used to be.
I figured out how to change it back to "contacts" in my registry but when I soft reset it changes back to to "bluemusic"
I don't want to hard reset!
help!

Possible that you uninstalled the program and not the shortcut to the program. Try the shortcut, if you get an error or nothing you can assume that the program is uninstalled but not the shortcut. Delete the shortcut[tap and hold and select delete]

BUT the shortcut is on my today screen, bottom righthand where it's supposed
to say "contacts"
I can change it but it comes back after a soft reset!

Try a trial version of MemMaid to get rid of that shortcut.

I have Memaid and it doesn't get rid of it.
I used resco reg edit to change the bluemusic shortcut
back to contacts but it changes back once I soft reset.

If all else fails do a hard reset after backing up all of your data, making sure you have all of your exe applications files located and do a sync backing up the outlook pim data file to some where else.

You know I experienced something like this with another app, with file explorer try to find any files left by the blue music app, and delete them, sometimes the app uninstall leaves bits and peices, in a folder in the location where you had the app installed, settings and stuff that are restored when you do a soft reset. Open your registry editor and search for the program bluemusic also search for the name of the developer. Delete all the registry keys pertaining to it.

Better still reinstall the program then install sktools. Use Sktools deep scan fuction to uninstall the program then do what I mention at the beginning this should delete most if not all bluemusic associated registry keys.

Also look in /windows/startup to see if there is a leftover link there. Sounds like at startup (soft reset) it's reinstalling the today icon.

thanks for all the ideas
I contacted the developer and they sent me a little .exe
to do the job for me, but get this...
it just seems to have gone away away on its own.
I checked the registry and it no longer shows after a soft reset.
the only thing I did was a sync to my pc?%^&$???
