I am looking for anyone who has extra batteries for the Axim x50 that is willing to part with them. I am trying to acquire 3 to 4 more batteries. Can anyone help me.

Sorry I can't help, but if you are looking for batteries I highly recommend that you buy new ones. Each used battery has a different lifespan depending on how old it is...

There's a cases.com deal with aximsite (It's in the Axim Hot Deals>Member discounts). You could get a couple of Energy Leaf batteries (1100mAh) but they're a tad pricey at $19 apiece or mix and match it with a 2200mAh battery. I know these things are expensive but... =/

did you look at one of those double A battery charger thingys? maybe that's an option? or maybe a solar charger, you could put the panel on top of your helmet I hear iraq has alot of sunshine

and ziploc bags.... there was a thread here not long ago where people were brainstoming for a soldier about to be deployed.

we came up with a good list of products.

First is power, and one of the AA chargers is very useful as you can get those batteries from supply. a solar charger is also useful.

Be careful of sand intrusion

A magnesium or hard case is good (it might even stop shrapnel from damaging the PDA... wouldn't want that :-)

make sure the seller can ship to APO address, or it'll be sent to home and fwd, this causes delay
if you just use it for music playing, set the CPU to 208, which can save battery
don't forget to buy a hard case, and couple of bt headphones, that the axim can be completely sealed from sand and dust when playing music
