One touch continuous record?

Is there a way to essentially have the microphone stay on by hitting the microphone record button only once, as opposed to having to hold down the button the entire time or going through the actual program itself and doing it? I guess I kind of want it to be like a regular recorder where you hit the record button once and it keeps doing it until you hit stop.
