I am going on a trip soon and will have wifi access. I would like to take the SD or CF cards from our cameras and put them in my X50v and email photos on them to family back home. I thought I had done this once before, but when I try to do it now I run into a problem. I am using the included email software ( if there is something better let me know). When I write the email and then click on tools and then "add attachment, it gives me a screen with two drop down menues. One says folder, but only lists folders in main memory. How do I navigate to my menory card to access the photos? Thanks

When constructing the email there will be a 'Menu' option on the lower right side of your screen. Select 'Menu' then 'Insert' then 'Picture' then select the down arrow to the right of the 'My Picture' (upper left of your screen under the words 'Insert Picture'. Now just select your card, the folder on your card you have your pictures, and then the picture you want to send. :approve:
Thanks for you suggestion, but maybe I'm using a different application than you. The application simply says "messaging" on the title bar. There doesn't seem to be any 'menu' option in the lower right hand part of the screen. The bar has five items on the bottom from left to right - Edit -Tools-My Text- and then two icons, one for my address book and another that looks like a little cassette tape. The only thing in the lower right corner is the pop-up menu for the keyboard options.
Your pocket pc is running windows mobile 2003, so that's why you don't see the menu option.
With a windows mobile 2003 device, tap Tools > Add Attachment
You need to create a My Documents folder on your storage card. Then be sure you delete the small file on the storage card called "ignore_my_docs." Place your files in the My Documents folder (don't place them within in folders off the My Documents folder). Then when you tap the Add Attachment option, you should see the documents - the icon next to them will have a small red symbol on the lower right edge that designates those files that are on your storage card.

Excellent, so now you have no excuse for not posting some pictures of your trip. :)
Glad you resolved your problem.
On edit: if you use Resco Picture Viewer you can email from the application. Select the photo that you want and then tap Photo and then Photo and send via Email from the pop-up menus. :approve:

Thanks for the idea. I don't use Resco. I've use Xnpocketviewer for a long time ( It's very much like Resco, but its free). It also allows you to email directly from the program, but when I tested out that option the email came through with a long string of alphanumeric characters in the body. I assume that the photo data somehow got converted into this string of characters for some reason. Maybe it has something to do with AOL ( My email account is with AOL). Anyway the other methods worked so I'm set. Thanks again. Italy here I come :-)
