shaka526 and kenneth11414:

Did you guys rename the flash image files when you performed the update? Did you change the K in the filename to B? If you did, you might have corrupted the boot loader of your devices. Think of it as analogous to writing a Windows executable file into your PC harddisk's boot sector; that would render your PC unbootable.

I do not know whether there is a simple way to restore your boot loader back short of hooking up a JTAG port or replacing the flash chip on the device.

I'll probably wait a bit before applying this rom, or at least until someone looks into the xip, sector size, and pagefile size items. And I would say it's too early to say it's faster since you are most likely comparing the speed of a newly wiped device with the speed of the pre-upgrade used-for-a-while device.

And what's the technical reason with the advice to rename the K to a B?

Why on Earth did you guys change the file name? All you had to do was upgrade to Windows Mobile 5 A01 then from there load the AKU 3.5.2 ROM. They will probably need specialist flashing now to re-write the boot loader image!
