Does anyone share the same problem. The keyboard seems fine when in
QVGA mode. But lots of time (e.g. when I use I.E. for internet) I couldn't locate
the keyboard when in VGA mode. I tried looking for a thread here that describes
any fix, but so far no luck.
Also, I found here quite a bit of descriptions of tweaks for WM5 on x50.
Would these tweaks be needed/recommended for x51v also? I bought my
x51v from Dell around 1/07.
yep, unless you have a BT KB (or a ratoc card and a USB KB) you're kinda SOL... mine shows up as a hole in the screen, I can see the today screen through it! but if I tap the 'hole' the keys still register, but I cant see whay I'm tapping, so... to date, I've found no solution for this, evne the large soft kb does it... I think the 3rd party ones work, but I cant remember...

Having a hole might just mean the icon isn't getting through as it should, but clicking there should still work. Something that can help this is to go into an application, like Word, or switching the orientation of the screen, so the device has to think about how to set up the controls again. I have done both of these before to help fill in 'holes' that have shown up bothin VGA and normal mode.
The TenGO keyboard comes up alright. In fact, I installed it for a trial
a while ago, but didn't use it much. I find I use keyboard mostly to
enter web addresses. Unfortunately, somehow TenGo keeps trying to
auto-complete it for me, and inserting blank space between each w of the
www. part.
Threads merged. For littlerabbit--if you keep the posts on one topic in one thread, you'll get fewer repeated instances of advice. The later posters can see what has already been suggested. Thanks!
