extra Battery purchasing

I'm looking to buy a second battery and wondering since it's been awhile.. are there any new batteries that have long life? I may be wrong but I read somewhere someone got like 8-10 hours on some attachment? (probally not..lol)

Also are those batteries that are 2200 in ebay for 10-15 dollars work fine?

And one last question that has nothing to do with battery.. I'm looking for a car charger and wondering does like a psp car charger work? (i just attach the dongle looking thing to the end that connects to axim and charger).

I just bought a extended battery from Global Batteries (this is the battery I bought Replacement for DELL Axim X50, Axim X50v, Axim X51, Axim X51v Pocket PC Battery) The battery is perfect for watching movies on, and for using WIFI for a long time. This battery has been great with me. I am very happy. I believe after shipping, it was $27 (I saved some money becasue I used paypal ;) )This battery is a extended battery; which basicly means that the battery door will not be flat. I t will stick out a little bit. But if you want just a second battery (exactly the same as your main battery), go with this battery. Replacement for DELL Axim X50, Axim X50v, Axim X51, Axim X51v Pocket PC Battery. For more batteries, check out AximCases.com | Dell Axim X50 X50v X51 X51v Cases Store.

I wouldn't buy batteries on ebay. Sometimes you can trust them, but you should look at the sellers rating (the negitives and positives). If the sellers rating is low, please don't buy from them. Because it is probably a fraud. If it is high, he/she is a trusted seller.

I would check the voltage, and amperage before you try and use a PSP car charger. If the voltage is higher than the axims power charger, don't use it....

I would buy something like this USB PDA Car Charger or this Axim X51 Car Charger / Dell Axim X51 Car Charger - Car Charger Direct. For the one with the usb, you need a sync and charge cable for your axim.

Hope this helps.

I have the Mugen 2800 mAh extended battery from aximcases.com. It has the same form factor as the 2200 mAh battery, and the extra 600 mAh makes a big difference.

Global Batteries, any good?

Price seems really cheap for a 2200ma battery.
Anyone have a problem with their batteries?

Any other brands I should be looking at with good pricing?

Ken

Ebay should be OK, but be careful when choosing a seller. It's been said enough, check the ratings. You can also buy with Paypal or a CC which can offer buying protection.

Can I have some links...

If its allowed, could I have some links to the ebay sites offereing
batteries which people have had good luck with.

Pricing seems to have quite a bit of margin on batteries.

thanks
Ken
