Aximsitex50icon odd bug: wireless button turns off ALL wireless

I had left BT on for several days, as I'm trying to set up my cellphone to share data. Tonight I hopped on my WLAN to copy a file from my desktop. when I got through, I tapped teh wireless button twice, which shoudl ahve jsut turned off the WiFi sine it was the last one toggled on/off, instead it tuned off BOTH WiFi AND Bluetooth!

Not really a problem, since I cant use WiFi right now with it lockign up my X51v if it suspends... but just an odd bug that popped up.

I don't think it's a bug; mine has always worked this way if BOTH wifi and BT are already on when you disable wireless. Conversely, if you then enable wireless, both will turn back on. The last one used rule applies to what is already enabled when you press the button, regardless of timing.

Nicely put fatmother. Good to see some people do RTFM.

First time I have ever seen a first post without any actual typing.

Welcome to the site.

Thanks, Box.

OP, there is a utility you may find useful, Aximsite_WirelessPower.cab, available in this thread along with the great Widcomm BT stack. From the thread...

"- New WirelessPower utility, developed as a replacement and enhacement of the original Wireless power button applet. It has a fully configurable GUI to fit user needs and device capabilities."

It's a sweet little application that looks good, works intuitively, and gives you more effective on-the-fly control over your wireless settings. Highly recommended.

That's odd... I've been using it to turn Wifi off/on and leave BT on... maybe THAT was the bug and it works the proper way now...

sorry for bothering everyone.

I was also going to suggest Wireless Power.cab; you can place an icon for it in your shell tray and just ckick that for either wireless or BT and you never need use the wireless hard button again. Works very well.
