No worries, I'm not posting links or otherwise to hacked ROMS here. However, I have seen at least four threads closed this week by the forum moderators in response to discussion/links related to fixed/hacked/illegal ROMS--however you want to call them. Okay, I'm clear on the policy about discussion/links for hacked ROMS and I'm fine with it. BUT, why do the moderators have to close an ENTIRE thread because one or two idiots didn't read the rules and posted stuff they shouldn't have? The thread probably wasn't even related to any hacked ROM in the first place and may have had some great discussion until someone decided to ruin it for everyone by breaking the rules. I just don't see why it is necessary to close the whole thread. Why not just delete the wrongful posts and while you're at it, delete the user's login who broke the rules instead of punishing everyone else also by closing the thread. Plus, almost everytime you close a thread that had good discussion on it, another thread is going to open up to pick up where the closed thread left off. That just creates more threads that makes it harder to search for topics using the forum search.
So my request is, please, moderators, review your policy on handling wrongful ROM posts so that the users who follow the rules are not "punished" also for the wrong that a select few commit. Thank you.

Thanks, for the name calling:)
One question.
Arn't you participating in those threads at xda-developers too? :rolling:
There have been some threads I have not closed. I've only closed threads that have gone on and eventually a link gets posted. Honestly, I have thought that some users have posted things just to push the limits of the policy.
Users, you know the policy. Police yourselves and each other. Don't entertain the discussion and don't throw out "moderator bait." Keep each other aware of the policy and threads will stay open.

I don't know?
What am I going to do with this stockpile of moderator bait I got at Price-Club?
Why do i buy in bulk?
P.S.
What the heck is moderator bait? No one is baiting anyone intentionally from what I have read, just a few loose cannons getting carried away, not trying to get anyone in trouble.
Sorry. I haven't been involved in any of these threads I just love the concept of moderator bait!
where can I view the Aximsite policy. I am totally clueless about your discusion. the only I thing I could find by the search engine is that this software is illegal. could some one send me a link to some info as to why?
I do agree that we shall not distribute/promote commercial software illegally because somebody is losing money on that.
Appearently Dell (and anybody else) is no longer involved in further upgrades of our Axims.
Here is my (innocent) question:
Are anybody loosing money on the 'new' ROM versions if we are discussion it here ?

If not, why are we forbidden to post about it here ?
Please enlighten me, thanks ...
I agree with you and that was my original argument when they first closed some threads. But they are like senior-citizens and are stuck in their ways so just let it be and go to xda-developers if it is that big of a deal.
We discussed this, debated it, argued it ad nauseam just a few weeks ago. Search the forum and perhaps you'll find the thread. No reason to get into it all over again. You don't have to like the policy, but the policy still stands.
