Desparately seeking device driver

I have been careless and lost my CD containing the drivers for my Axim x51v. As a consequence I cannot connect it to my PC with the cradle and sync it with Outlook etc.

I have search the Dell website and the driver does not seem to be listed. I have spoken to Dell and they seem unable or unwilling to provide a replacement.

If anyone is willing to upload the necessary drivers from their CD, I would be real grateful, so please get in touch and I will provide an FTP login that you can use.

Thanks

If you are looking for a copy of Microsoft Office Outlook that is on the disk shipped with your unit it is a purchased application. When you purchased your unit it was included in its sale price. Dell should have a record of your purchase and be willing to send you a copy or at least offer it to you at a discount (my opinion at least). No one else can send you a copy of the CD its on or the file because it is a copy protected application.

Thanks guys for your help. Just to confirm, downloading ActiveSync sorted my issue. I was under the impression that I'd installed a driver for the device in the past and reinforce my false belief, when I plugged my cradle into my PC, it tried to install a driver.

Now I know I should have installed ActiveSync first.

Thanks again
Steve

you did, if you dont install AS XP will search for a driver for either "axim x51v" or "Windows mobile device" but as hoggie said, AS has all the drivers included.
