ActiveSync... *sigh*

Hello my friends, long time no see etc etc :)

So, ive just installed ActiveSync 4.5 on my PC and i reseted my PDA, still i cant seem to connect them with each other? The only error i get is something about a TCP Port 990..

What to do? What to do? Is my ROM to old on my PDA maybe?

Im really thankfull for help!

This is driving me crazy, really, i called Dell Support, they told me to remove all software that i use to sync other devices such as mobile phone etc. Did that, rebooted, installed Active Sync 4.5 AGAIN. Didnt work, removed it, rebooted, installed 4.0 didnt work. rebooted installed 4.5, didnt work.. What am i doing wrong?!

I Use the A12 ROM on my X51v

Please help me solve this before some neighbor find a x51v in atoms..

I hope someone sees your message and you get an answer. I have the same problem with my x51v. I would put the blame on WM5. My other Axim (x50v) has no such problem with the same install of ActiveSynch.

Do they connect to the same computer?

I would think connection to the computer is the first step.
If your Axim connects it should make a clunking sound.

If you are connected, but Active Sync cannot see your Axim, try disconnecting the Axim, and from Active Sync delete the partnership (from File menu), this will clear a bunch of stuff, and if successful, when you reconnect it will ask if the profile from your Axim is the one you want.
