First, to aximsite. Take some time and look around our new expanded site. In the forums there is a thread to show your today screen. You will get lots of ideas on how to personalize your ax. They usually explain how they got "the look". Also look at the MYPDAs.
Although many will swear by the versatility offered by the commercial add-ons, there are also plenty of free programs that offer excellent results. Check out several of the freeware threads. You'll be glad you did.
Also check out folks' "MyPDA" link in their profiles or signatures.
There are several plugins that allow you to change your screen, such as SBSH, SPB, Lakeridge Software (Wisbar Advance & Wisbar Desktop, which I've used to customize my screen and create multiple virtual screens).

love the today screen!
what programs do you have running that are displayed on the today screen?
Thanks. I am running Pocket Weather, PocketBreeze and iLauncher from SBSH. They have an active forum, great support - Amit visits aximsite frequently, and they have frequent updates - well worth the cost with the aximsite member discount!
iLauncher is running as a tab in pocketBreeze and it launchers all my other programs - represented by the icons. iLauncher also has its own tabs so I can organize my files by use - utilities, media, network/internet, etc. It also puts some icons on the bottom task bar to accessible all the time. It also task manager with a true close function, and power bar on top.
I also use a few free programs that really make the setup work well. I use a toggletodayalpha to make the soft button bar very, very small. That is the small light bar at the bottom. I have remapped the soft buttons with newmenuwm5. Writing this makes me realize I really need to update myPDA

Wow, you have a great set-up. I also run Pocket Breeze, with iLauncher running as a tab too. I remapped my bottom soft buttons with iLauncher, I made the left one Power Off and the right one Soft Re-Set. They are great programs!
DeeCee - where'd you get the nice icon sets from and how did u customise pocketbreeze / ilauncher to get the displays?
head on over to sbsh.net forums. They have the icon sets as well as examples of today screens. Mine is based on the last version of PB. You will see new tab styles and many new icons. Most of my icons are from the expea set, but you will find themes and skin files set up for the sbsh products.
I also must add positive comments for PocketBreeze (#1) and iLauncher, and PocketWeather;
I also have UpTime meter in a PBreeze tab, for good measure,
I've tinkered with NewsBreeze and MortPlayer (rss/podcast reader and MP3 player respectively) which have Today screen options or add-ins.
