I have been syncing my X50V (WM2003SE) with Vista Home Premium for some time using Windows Mobile Device Center (WMDC).

You can sync the Axim x50v with Vista Home Premium using the Windows Mobile Device Center. Active Sync does not work with Vista, at all, period.

The problem I have is that using Win Mobile Dev Ctr I can sync my x50v but not my contact, schedule, tasks etc as my Outlook is too old. You need Outlook 2004 or 2007 to sync cal, contacts, etc with your Axim.

I have an x50v WM2003SE

My Vista doesn't see my Axim x50v. I'm running outlook 2002 so I may just be screwed anyway. Any other suggestions?

You have a few things you can try. Outlook does not affect whether your computer is able to detect your Axim or not.

1. Make sure the cradle/ sync cable is connected to the USB port directly, not through a hub.
2. Soft reset your Axim while connected via cradle/ sync cable
3. Open up WinMo Device Center while docked
4. Go to Start--Programs-->Activesync. Then press sync (lower-right corner) while docked.
